What is the Process?

Once the used cooking oil has been filtered three times, down to 3 microns, we put it through a centrifuge to remove all the water and any final small particles.

The centrifuge is then spun at sixty five revolutions per second which creates the clean oil needed for the next part of the process.

The clean oil is then pumped into the large tank on the right which is our main reactor, holding 12 tons in volume. The clean oil then passes to the smaller reactor on the left, our Methoxide mixer, which is three tons in volume. At this point a vital process known as transesterification takes place. This is a process in which the alkoxy group of an ester compound is replaced by another alcohol. Following this process the bio diesel is ready to wash.

And more

The bio diesel is then passed through the POD centrifuge which washes out all the catalyst in the product and polishes the diesel to perfection, completing the refining process.
